Shiseido - Nombre Noir

July 7th, 2007 by webmaster

Today Serge Lutens aromas for Shiseido have the devoted admirers all over the world. Its Parisian boutique in Palais Royale, well-known for the exclusive aromas in bottles-hand bells - a place for unusual aromas’ judges pilgrimage.
Today we offer to your attention the first perfumery project for Shiseido, the aroma of the 1981, which for a long time has been removed from manufacture Nombre Noir.
To meet Nombre Noir on a shelf of perfumery shop means the same as if to return to the last quarter of the century.
The brilliant black octagonal bottle looks as a beam sword handle from Star wars. It stores the sated and dense aroma - gloomy -flower with the dense tree-fruit heart, hidden under the black smoke screen. After sharp start of the smoky whisky resolutely overwhelming attempts of a jasmine and a bergamot to survive and a black smoked rose, almost deprived of flower sweet, arises.
The perfume combines such aromas as flower tone with apricot shade and jasmine.
If you can imagine such souvenir as a flower of a rose, which petals are made of prunes, and leaves are made of a black leather or rubber, then you can easily imagine an image of this aroma, dark, smoky and sated.

By the way, beer bath is a good alternative to baths with champagne. E. Marinella - Chiaja

June 30th, 2007 by webmaster

Italian perfumery is quite interesting phenomenon. The inventor of cologne Jean-Marie Farina was the Italian, and according to some sources, the science of drawing up of aromas (at the same time with ballet, corsets, shoes on a heel, and custom to eat with a plug) has got from Italy to France in the 16th century, together with Katherine Medici, who has brought the court perfumer, Florentine Rene Bianco with her.
Edouardo Marinella - is the inexpensive brand, which is quite popular in the Roman shops, specializing on selective perfumery. Usually, on a show-window the set, consisting from all other six aromas is represented. You will not find name Chiaja in the dictionary - it is a word from the Neapolitan dialect, meaning “beach”. So one of quarters in a coastal part of Naples, around of the river running into a gulf, is named.
Aroma starts with white freshness - characteristic for the Italian perfumery citron notes (a bergamot and neroli oil), which are discolored and painted in color of powder by iris and almond powder.
Most strongly chords - almonds and musk set the fashion to all composition (the iris only adds a slightly a moisture, apparently, that it is entered into aroma only as a tribute of the Italian tradition). This sweet three demands though a few freshness, demands a sea breeze or frosty air.

Best perfumes for summer and beach

June 4th, 2007 by webmaster

How should summer aromas smell? Choosing summer aromas it is better to follow traditions of people constantly living in the beach zone, on the bright sun and at the sea side. Their traditions are verified by centuries. Italians and Spaniards prefer citron colognes with various variations - fresh, bitter, with colors and grasses. From this group we can advise you Cologne (Thierry Mugler), Acqua di Parma, Maestrale (Profumo di Pantelleria), Eau de Campagne (Sisley), Eau des Merveilles (Hermes), Agua Brava (Puig), Eau d ` Hadrien (Annick Goutal), Eau de Guerlain. Colognes, as traditionally freshening, simple and easy aromas, are available in many ordinary perfumery houses. It is necessary to choose only what will ideally approach you.
This summer we offer women radically new aromas - easy Cologne Vettiveru (Comme des Garcons), flower Vetiver pour elle (Guerlain), hardly spicy KenzoAir (Kenzo); for men - peppery Vetiver Extraordinaire (Frederic Malle), flower-spicy Vetiver (Parfums de Nicolai), citrus-wood Story (Paul Smith), iodide-sea Vetiver des Sables (Montale).
The characteristic freshness of leaves of a fig, despite of the simplicity and popularity in narrow circles, perfectly approaches for the heated summer and linen clothes: Premier Figuer (L`Artisan), Philosykos (Diptyque), Un Jardins Mediterranee (Hermes), Jardins des Kerylos (Parfumerie Generale) and others.
Considering a flower theme, traditional for summer and hot weather, it would be desirable to choose not sweet, not soap and not spicy, but as much as possible realistic fresh flowers. For example, these may be flowers of a linden and a bird cherry - Tilleul (Parfums d`Orsay), an iris - 28 La Pausa (Chanel), flowers of a honeysuckle - Chevrefeuille (Annick Goutal).
The modern perfumery knows many ways of represent freshness of sea or mountain air. Not going into detail, we shall simply list some aromas: Odeur 53 (Comme des Garcons), Sandflowers (Montale), Himalaya (Creed), and Secretions Magnifiques (Etat Libre d`Orange), Eau d`Italie, Preparation Parfumee (Andree Putmann) and the infinite list of other aromas. As a rule, their stability leaves much to be desired, but they perfectly will approach for a beach, shading perfumery shades sea freshness.
Do not forget, that after the day lead on a beach, warm evening will come and or for a romantic supper it is necessary “to put on” other aroma. For this excellent occasion we offer you favorite perfumes from Serge Lutens, Guerlain or Caron.

Editions de parfums Frederic Malle - French Lover

May 20th, 2007 by webmaster

French Lover has appeared in three Parisian boutiques of Malle on April, 27th, 2007 though many did not trust that the House will dare to name the aroma with this not most refined word-combination. In the USA, where Frederic Malle has recently moved, have already declared, that the aroma will refer to differently - different variants can be offered: Latin Lover, Bois et Pimento, Spices and Minerals… On hearings, French Lover was born as a result of attempts of creation of man’s variant Angeliques sous la pluie, one of the colognes created for Malle’s collection in 2000. However these aromas have much less similarity, than distinctions.
The green fresh bitterness of galban is prolonged hardly by a dusty acuteness of burning pepper. Then pepper becomes rough and translucent, as a wind in the desert, bearing sand and grinding off a skin, a tree and stones with it. The basic chord “pepper - angelica” are accompanied with frankincense and a heat of a cedar, transparent greens of a geranium and a patchouli plant shade. The general sounding of aroma - is transparent, mineral, with distinct pepper corn. As if translucent cornelian pebble, beautiful in water, but hiding the pattern under a rough surface if to wipe dry. More polished and green (due to a geranium) variant can be heard in mineral-wood Terre d’Hermes, rougher and yellow (due to pepper and citrus) - in Piper Nigrum. At desire it is possible to find a similar wet pebble - Preparation Parfumee (Andree Putman). Special similarity with Terre d’Hermes proves to be trues a mention about vegetal animality - a chord, in which vegetative components make impression of components of an animal origin.
This aroma - is a good example of perfected, if not polished perfumery work of Pierre Burdon, which has all chances to become the best seller in collection Editions de parfums Frederic Malle. Aroma is not revolutionary and even is not pioneer. French Lover is the three-day grey bristle, adding age and brutal charm.
Frederic Malle French Lover (Pierre Bourdon, 2007): green notes, burning pepper, iris, cedar, angelica, frankincense, moss, musk.

Patent Convertible Bag: a new sight at transparent bag

May 14th, 2007 by webmaster

Transparent bags - last fashionable trend, as well as any other bags, can be of interesting, unusual form. The Italian duet Dolce&Gabbana dreams on transparency theme of our accessories and offers intricate bag Patent Convertible Bag - for those who has nothing to hide.
The only thing is that hardly this bag will be used by those women who collect things in the bag by a principle “everything i see should be in my bag”. Because of fear, that the woman could not find what she needs within long day, the female bag is often filled with stuff, and men do not cease to joke from the “unknown depths” of female handbags. And so, if the similar habit is peculiar to you, you should better refrain from this purchase.
This accessory is aimed at more organized women. D&G Patent Convertible Bag represents transparent plastic with two external pockets on each side. These pockets are made of the black varnished leather (by the way, it is recommended to put there something that is not intended for extraneous eyes).
The bag can be carried on a shoulder by means of the gilt chain, and also by means of leather handles. metal gilt inserts are made on lateral pockets the .

The Unicorn Spell - LesNez Parfums

May 10th, 2007 by webmaster

Each new aroma of perfumer Isabelle Doyen is being expected with excitement. Her long and fruitful work with romantic brand Annick Goutal has created practically faultless portfolio.
In October, 2006 a new fine child of the Doyen - a trio of aromas for just created euro brand LesNez: Let Me Play the Lion, L’Antimatiere, The Unicorn Spell- has been introduced. Each aroma has the literary name, casting memoirs on William Shakespeare and European Middle Ages legends. Isabelle has devoted romantic lines to each of aromas - instead of usual transfer of making notes.
If first two are difficult enough for transferring words - they should to be tried, instead of being recommended, The Unicorn Spell can be easily described. The Unicorn Spell is an attempt to transfer a medieval legend.
Aroma starts with the sharp, fresh and juicy chord similar to a smell of green pepper, cut for salad, combining both juiciness Bulgarian, and an acuteness of Chile. Being gradually softened, the greens shade the cold earthy party of wood. Everything is deeper in a wood, everything is frozen - and here a green chord of violet leaves with the earthy iris, reminding Grey Flannel from Geoffrey Beene, but much less perfumery, is represented. The author as if specially leaves creating with pleasant impressions, that is so characteristic for Goutal.
Smell of a detergent powder? The frozen wood greens or the pulled out tops of vegetables beaten by a frost? As opposed to romanticism from Goutal the image of cold death of plants is more likely seen. It is the smell of sterile dead violets, pepper and an iris on the ground covered by hoarfrost; aroma of Snow Queen or its powder, aroma of hoarfrost on fresh greens.
Iris warms not so fast, but it is exactly Iris and the sweetish powder-flower note that give hope for the next spring, for the remote violence of colors. It sounds only in the farthest loop, weak hope, almost imperceptible on a background of own skin aroma. It, probably, means occurrence of the Unicorn.
All three aromas are surprisingly modern, transparent and - the most important - are unusual. They proof, but they can’t be easily noticed in half an hour. These are the aromas-spies, aromas-scouts. They are her and they are not present at the same time. They are STRANGE.
They don’t smell of human feelings and memoirs, bright colors of the childhood or taste of familiar fruits. They do not give a support, leaving people in perplexity. Put you on the place of the five-year-old girl trying to understand the quantum physics in terms of university - similar misunderstanding will be at everyone, trying to feel LesNez aromas.
