Epilation and depilation (Part 1)

February 18th, 2007 by webmaster

Today there are about ten methods of undesirable hair elimination: from become in short terms super known laser epilation up to unfamiliar to the sugaring. The aim of our article is to represent data on depilation and epilation in order to give the full information and allow you to choose the suitable method. The term epilation assumes influence on reproductive system of hair - a hair bulb, or a hair follicle. It means, that epilation foresees not only the removal of hair, but also the elimination of their superfluous growth. Through one or more often some procedures the quantity of hair bulbs decreases, due to what the constant effect is reached.
Depilation assumes the removal of hair without the influence on a hair follicle, though some influence on reproductive system of hair nevertheless is present. The difference is only that at wax depilation and other methods of hair plucking, the effect arises only some months later.
Laser epilation
Its principle consists in destroying influence of a laser beam on a hair follicle. It is known, that a pigment in a bulb cells absorbs light contain and collapses. Laser epilation is painless, owing to local, short in time (millisecond) influence and fast cooling. So, the basic advantage of this kind of epilation is an opportunity of carrying out of procedure in “zones of bikini”, auxiliary areas, on the face. The other doubtless advantage of laser epilation is the high factor of removal of hair (kill ratio) - the percent of hair the removed for ever for one procedure. The disadvantages of laser epilation are the existing restrictions at a light skin and light hair, and also its high cost in comparison with other methods. It depends on quantity of impulses of a laser beam that is in turn defined by the area of epilation, quantity of hair and their structure (at rigid, dark hair - is more expensive, at soft - is cheaper).

  1. Dianne Mazurowski Says:

Tom Daschle tried in vain to warn us what tax breaks for the filthy rich would mean. The gw bush administration and the republican congress promised it would be good for everyone. But what it did was take money from the middle class and gave it to the very wealthiest class in the country. After that Wall street threw all that money into a black hole called the stock market. The rich are still rich but the money they lost was from the backbone of America. The middle class is dying a slow miserable death. But the rich are still buying yachts while they accumulate everything the middle class can’t afford. What happened to the Democrats that tried to warn us? They got drummed out of office as nay sayers!
