Fleur de Carotte - L’ Artisan Parfumeur

April 26th, 2007 by webmaster

Fleur de Carotte is one of those aromas that surprise with even the name. L’Artisan Parfumeur House, one of the first selective perfumery houses, likes to surprise all perfumery world.
Aroma begins with a wave apricot-caramel sweet through which the way dairy-earthy and damp-musky smell similar to the note of an iris is felt: these are the seeds of carrots. Wait autumns and collect seeds of carrots, keep them in palms - and here it is! Carrots sound on obviously perfumery background of a rose and osmantus. It is worth of mentioning that the aroma is quite strange and unusual, but it is quite attractive. And it is so much contrasted on the background of traditional citron colognes.
Loop of aroma is very thin, warm, flower and hardly sweetish - here is the influence of rose (less) and osmantus (more), as the senior perfumery sisters. Carrots are only added as a mealy cloudy component. From kitchen aroma it becomes more likely garden or tropical aroma. It is the aroma for hot summer. It is proof, but not straining with its presence. It is egoistic aroma; it smells not more strongly as face cream and body lotion.
If you would like to amaze friends with more volumetric loop, something similar (due to osmantus) and much more proof (due to powerful synthetics) is represented by Parfum brand de Nicolai under the name Fig Tea. This “Fig Tea” will have time to bother you before you can wash it off under a shower. However it doesn’t contain carrot and it does not crackle.
“Carrots Flowers” have impressed the perfumery market only with the name, not having shown worthy financial results. Probably, therefore aroma has not appeared in basic series L’Artisan Parfumeur yet.
